Fillyfuntasia.com Episode Summaries

Filly Funtasia has an official website, fillyfuntasia.com. Up until very recently, the only content was an image advertising the show with not much information. Well, that has changed! There's still just an image there, but it is an image that appears to depict a mockup of what the future site will look like! As it's just an image, none of the buttons are clickable and some of the content appears to be placeholder material, but it still contains some neat stuff - including the synopses for the first four Filly Funtasia episodes! Check it out at fillyfuntasia.com and read our analysis after the break!

We'll divide the image into a few different parts and analyze them separately. Let's start with the header!

Fillys confirmed to speak American?
The "Register" and "Login-in" (sic) links suggest that the website will have users, and the language selector that it will be available in multiple languages. "About Funtasia" and "TV Series" are two different links, so the first one will presumably have information about Funtasia besides it being a TV series. The Filly icon is likely to lead to MyFilly. On to the most interesting revelations - the episode synopses.

See? The cupcakes weren't stolen.
The first episode is titled "Liar, Liar, Prance on Fire" - and the description matches the episode we saw in Promo #1. The screenshot accompanying the description is from Promo #2 and has been used in other advertising material. It's quite likely that the screenshots used to illustrate each episode has been taken from the trailers and that they do not necessarily represent the contents of the episode.

Lynn and Rose dormmates CONFIRMED
Case in point. The screenshot taken from Promo #1 and used to illustrate episode 2 is probably from episode 1. While we can't know for sure, it's possible we've already seen some footage from episode 2 in Promo #3! The scenes of Lynn running through the dark forest and the emotional dark forest scene with Rose and Lynn certainly look like they could be from this episode based on its description.

It's possible!

But what will it form?
Now this one does sound familiar - it's similar to the "Zack episode" that's featured in multiple clips in Promo #3! The blue rainbow could be what is depicted on the blackboard in the classroom scene with Zack.

We have previously speculated on the basis of the filenames of 3D prop designs that this episode will be episode 5. It's possible that the filenames were incorrect, or that this episode used to be episode 5 but has now been bumped up to episode 3 in a reordering.

Captain! I see a ship on the horizon!
Yeep. We've got a crush potion episode, as well as a confirmation that the Fillys have potion class at the academy. This episode might be a fun one. The screenshot accompanying the description is again from Promo #1, and appears to be from the scene where teachers discuss the (probably nonexistent) monster.

Battiwigs: now with sparkles

The story description here is outdated - it still calls Wranglum "The Wizard of the Dark Mirror". It's also the description that's been used on the description page on BRB's website for a few years now.

The same poses as in the header.
Then, the page lists our characters! It uses "Willow" and "Isabella" rather than the shorter "Will" and "Bella" that we've also seen, and it further confirms Wranglum's name.

Lastly, we've got two locations listed - The Royal Magic Academy, which is the show's main setting, and "Outside the Academy", which appears to be all the stuff around it.

And that's pretty much it, at least until the website becomes interactable.

It's happening!
Oh lord, that description for episode four has to be the creepiest thing I've ever read. "Uncontrollable attraction"? Uhhh. No, please.

I have to admit I immediately headcanoned the meat of the episode as Cedric doing various feats to impress a confused Rose. If they're going for a "literally cannot control his own actions because of the potion" angle, that would be really bad. I hope they're not doing that.

I know, right? And at least she doesn't have to shift species twice and get a whole freaking movie to get a guy remotely interested in her. Also yay for potion class involving mind-altering drugs. At least in this universe they acknowledge it exists and they warn kids about it in class.
I preffer the latter, as it's closer to NOT getting a guy remotely interested in her, which is a breath of fresh air.

And about the love potion, they aren't taught in schools because they're not supposed to be used.

Hell yes. Some good indication at last that this show isn't teetering on happening/not happening. That's how I'm going to interpret this update at the very least!
Cedric seems to usually have most serious expression from them all, so that episode's probably going to make him comically crazy or something
Episode 1: I'm surprised that they're apparently jumping straight into things without an introductory episode, but I'm okay with this.
Episode 2: Probably going to be one of my favorites, or mildly disappointing. I'm hoping for the former option.
Episode 3: Already been discussed, but the description does add one thing that got me thinking - if there are several of these crystal things, maybe their streaks will accumulate a full rainbow by the end, (of the season?) one color at a time.
Episode 4: Eh, I'm not really feeling the premise, but it could be interesting if handled well. One thing I'm curious about is why Cedric ends up attracted to Rose; is it amplifying pre-existing feelings, is it due to the way the potion was made, or will it be a "first person he looked at after drinking" sort of thing? Either way, I've long since hopped aboard the RosaLynn shipping train, and I highly doubt this episode will be able to change my mind on that.

Anyway, it's just nice to see some confirmation that the show isn't vaporware after all. I can't wait until 2016, or whenever it comes out!
I'm trying hard to stay interested, but they are sure taking their time with putting these episodes out!

Wow, I have to admit it does hurt a bit to be mistrusted, but I guess you guys don't know me and how the idea of wrecking a wiki for any reason is utterly repulsive to me.
I'm glad to hear the wiki did well, good work on that.
I think I demoted myself, the permissions are a bit hard to use. After pressing submit, I could no longer view my own permissions, so that's a good sign. But if I look at the userlist it still shows my Brohoofminecraft account in the old groups, so I don't know. If you need me to do anything else, just tell me what to click on.
I'll ask Lphemphill to demote herself, I'm sure she won't mind.
My fanhood should not be related to my reputation as an adult that would never harm something that I created.
Lphemphill demoted herself, so this matter is closed.
Really, I regarded it as unneeded in any case since my main reason for wanting to ditch wikia is that not being locked down by wikia would give us far more freedom and customizability long-term (and switching "early" while the community is still tiny will be far easier than doing so when it's really big... which may or may not happen in the future depending on how this filly funtasia thing pans out) and that wikia seems like a worse and worse company the more research I do on them.

Bringing up the admin situation just got the conversation going again, I've expressed the same opinion previously before the admin thing was really an issue and I have the same opinion now that it's resolved. (I can't find the post now, but I'm pretty sure I've written about it on Ponychan quite a while back.)

Let me use a boolean pair to express why I didn't feel like contacting them about this (keeping in mind that the previous admins had been inactive since when the wiki was nearly contentless):

There are two variables here, "is good guy", and "is informed".

"Is Good Guy" and "Is Informed" -> What happened here. It worked out okay!
"Is Good Guy" and "Is Not Informed" -> Will probably keep on ignoring the wiki's existence
"Is Not Good Guy" and "Is Not Informed" -> Will probably keep on ignoring the wiki's existence
"Is Not Good Guy" and "Is Informed" -> Bad times ahead

I hope that explains my position.
